It's chalk and sketch time

In Russe I painted the window facade of Dom Elias Canetti. The work is inspired by a snail that passed by in the local park along the river danube. Originally i planned to write Russe on the snail house, but the snail moved inside the house and i thought "hmm,maybe the snail is from Giurgiu , the romanien town on the other side of the river." I left the snail alone and continued my walk in the park.... Instead i made a drawing of lot's of "train and housing snails" in Dom Elias Canetti
During my stay in Burgas , i went to the Stara Zagora. In Stara Zagora is a really huge and impressive monument of the socialist era. It's an amazing place. just some minutes before i arrived at the monument Idecided to make a spontanous chalk drawing on the ground in front of monument. I thought about things (objects, buildings, factories) I saw in the recent years which are still left from this era.

When i hanged out at the beach of Burgas i got some ideas that could come from some friends from Sofia ( the transformatori group ) . I thought about reusing old ships, like Costa Concordia as huge blockhouses ... this could win an architectural award of sustainability for sure ;))))

Portrait " czech train painter 1"

Continuing a series of drawings on tickets called "just another nightshift".
This is one of two portraits of a czech artist . He is a a close friend, but has always struggle for life. He lives in a small workers town, where nobody thinks a lot about art or escpaing from the workers life. It's a place where it's really difficult to escape especially when you don't have opportunities to study. You are trapped in everyday work. His last resorts from the boring everday life are drugs ( beer and canabis), music and painting crazy stuff in his town.

"Träumer" - first sketch for the exhibition "Die andere Seite" in Dresden

"Träumer" is my first sketch for the exhibition "Die andere Seite" in Dresden. It' s an exchange project with the german artist Viktoria Graf and two artists from Litomerice - the town where Alfred Kubin was born. Alfred Kubin is the author of the -Book " Die andere Seite". It's an dark novel about the city of dreamers , which looks much more like a nightmare to the chief character of the book.

For the show we print a series of screenprints - inspired by the book and the exchange of ideas between czech artists and german.

Hoy Neu, Hoy

After finishing my stencil workshop in Hoyerswerda, i was asked to do some more works in public space of Hoyerswerda. All electricity stations of the city were offered. To Much To Do.
Benuz and i choosed three spots which we liked most. This work is documented as an stop-motion animation, too. It s called "Hoy Neu, Hoy".
"Hoy Neu" means "Hoyerswerda Neustadt "- the spot where we painted. "hoy" is the spanish word for today.

There are some new sketches of mine. The on above is called "30 days in a life of wasted youth". Originally i planned to use this one for a self made calendar of friends, but they finally decided to print it only in one color. well i like the work also standing alone. Art fairs Berlin

I m in Berlin to present my Book at Stroke - Friday 8.10. - 7 p.m. and Saturday 9.10. - 7 p.m. in the lounge area - entrance to the lecture is free !

Because i had some time to look out what s goin on in Berlin I made a tour to art forum berlin. It s a huge huge art fair. I painted some stuff in front of it, because entrance fee was to high and I don t relly like these kind of places, where Security is on every corner, looking at you.
I invited a child of parents to paint, too. he looked really interested.
We painted only few minutes till security arrived. The security guy was really friendly. That's whay I did not continue. I m not a nasty bad boy, if security sees my face ;)
Luckily a man of the audience gave me some pocket money ...
Nice start for that day...



After being at art forum I went back to stroke . On my way i found a street sketch of my friend other .
I had to add something !
I made some kind of a triptych out of it ... hope to meet him again ( not only in the streets )

Performance "public con temporary"

Yesterday i made a performance for the press - "public con temporary". It was an action that promotes the upcoming artshow "public con temporary" during the city festival in dresden - 20-22 august. I invite artist who realize temporary art works in public space like Bertram Weisshaar, Katalin Huszáror Mehrzweckhalle Linz if you're in Dresden you should come around and have a nice time between contemporary art, music and dance

The New Albertinum - Everything is under control !

"chalk mob 1.0." - a fast sketch at the reopened Albertinum in Dresden

While i was invited to take part in the "discursive picknick" by artists group unwetter from berlin, i made a fast chalk drawing in the recently opened Albertinum. Albertinum is the contemporary art museum in Dresden.
After few seconds security arrived. I discussed a while and continued to paint till the security headquarter stopped my action.
Now I know - contemporary art at Albertinum is under control.
