Metronome Festival Prague - Urban Wraps & Temporary Murals

For Metronome Festival Prague 2018 i did a series of works in different locations.
Two Spaces had been prepared with large banner to paint - both dealed with „Train Of Infinity“ Theme. For the so called „Street Art District“ i did different types of wraps - Panorama360degrees, HighStretchWrapping and different color combinations. Some of the works have been done live during festival day programme.

Thanx a lot to the festival team especially Barbora , Ondrej and Inka for helping ! It was a pleasure being invited. Everything was well prepared and I enjoyed working there. The line up of metronome prague festival 2018 was great ! Some of my favorite music groups played there and I got nice impressions from Czech music goups.
After 4 days of intense painting, wrapping and seeing different live acts my battery went really low …

BWNC - Beer, Waiting, Needle Caps

BWNC are the Italian Aris, the Dane Anders Reventlov, the Frenchman Vilx and the German Jens Besser. The crew was founded during a sunday afternoon in a prison.* „Beer, Waiting, Needle Caps“ stands for an afternoon spend together behind bars with no lack of beer, needle caps and time. Only spray cans were missing, the artists waited in vain for the most important materials. After the „release“ their paths went separate ways, but the idea of the crew continued to exist. Later the decision was made to realize exhibitions in 2016. The first reunion will take place at the exhibition space HOLE OF FAME in Dresden/Germany.

On 29th April - 8p.m. „Beer, Waiting, Needle Caps“ will open. The show runs till Saturday - 7th May. During the period of the show the artists do interaction inside and outside the show. Presentations of the participating artists give the opportunity to learn more about their work and to get in touch with the artists.

once again the key dates

„Beer, Waiting, Needle Caps“ - group show by Aris (IT), Anders Reventlov (DK), Vilx (FR), Jens Besser (DE)

opening: 29.4.2016 - 8.p.m.

period of the show: 30.4.2016 - 6.5.2016

Memories from another era - large sized drawing

Memories from another era - large sized drawing During „Thementag zur zeitgenössischen Sachbeschädigung“ ( theme day of contemporary vandalism ) I draw a „mural“ live inside „Zeche1“ in Bochum. Robert Kaltenhäuser invited me to participate in a one day action based on 3 stops about contemporary movements in Graffiti Art. I simulated a mural by using a really small and funny elevator and working „top down“.
The content of the work is connected to discussions and talks which happend during my stay in Bochum. I met up some old school writers from Dresden and Bochum and we spoke about the past of painting trains and doing graffiti. The work is done with brush and white paint on wooden boards.

"Question your consumerism" at "artists fair dresden" for galerie module & IKEA

Last Time i went to galerie module for a talk I was asked by Galerist Verena Andreas ( galerie module Dresden ) If my work " Question your consumerism", done at artists fair dresden for galerie module & IKEA Dresden , is against Ikea. The answer was "No" - but i had to explain the content , even you see it ! The message is directed to the people who don't think about stuff they buy. A company , like IKEA, deuter ( german back packs), lichtblick ( german eco power supply) or whatever is always responsible to their clients. If the clients don't buy stuff of the company, the company is forced to change the startegy. That means, as long as I don' t think about the fact that a backpack of deuter is produced in Vietnam ( written on their website) and I buy a backpack of deuter - i support the strategy of this company. For the work "Question your consumerism" I made some research about the product we painted on. The product is produced in Brazil at a company that has an professional looking website. The pictures i saw, did not show me any anything that i should question. When i visited Brazil , i saw places like this factory, but in general i can say Brazil is a crazy developing country and young people and companies think a lot about ecosystem. The only problem is - they often don't act like they think about - something they have in common with a lot of alternative freaks around the world ;)The only thing people most probably should think about is the long way, the product is delivered. All over the world big ships transport a crazy amount of goods from Place A to B. And we can read where the prodcts come from ( at least in 90% of all cases - some firms don't leave the country of production on the products, wehn they customize a bit at the product and then write instead the own country ). But IKEA wrote the origin of the product "Made in Brazil". On of the big problems around the world is the stupid transportation of products. Every year ships cause desasters in oceans and coastal ecosystems. That's why painted a ship that loses oil in the ocean. But The people want cheap stuff. You can buy stuff produced in Europe , but it costs more. But people don't want to spent more money to something that is ecological. People buy even "eco"-apples from italy or south africa even they have some around the corner in their german home-town.So my message as you can see is not against some big company - it's a message to the people. The final aim of this action for Ikea was to install the works in their store in Dresden. I hope this will happen , because i want the shoppers to think about the stuff they buy everywhere. Not only at IKEA ! That's why to start this discussion at a fair was the best place to promote this Idea. Fairs are places where clients are asked about new products and ne developments. back of the product detail - open source detail - we love trainz , we hate cars

The Invited Vandal

Last saturday I had a great performance.
For " the invited vandal" nobody was allowed to enter the gallery space. All visitors had to wait outside. Free coffee from a thermos flask was offered to the visitors. The visitors had to wait for me, like painters wait for painted trains in the station.
From time to time I entered the gallery space to make some paintings on the walls. The rest of the time i stayed in the office of the gallery. Stefan Schwarzer took some action photos. During the Performance i even got a call by a reporter. He asked me if i could come outside to make some more lines on the wall, just for a press picture ...
The paintings are visible 24 hours from outside - like street art . nobody needs to enter the show. On 31st of march we will present the catalogue of the show.
Thanx to all visitors ... i had a perfect opening of this show !!!
